Who are we?

REV Ocean is a not-for-profit company created with one overarching purpose and ambition: To make the ocean healthy again. Any profit generated from our projects will be reinvested into our work for a healthier ocean. The company was established July 20th, 2017 and funded by Norwegian business-man Kjell Inge Røkke. The REV Ocean headquarters are in Fornebu, Norway.

Why do we collect personal data in our system?

If you submit contact information, it is stored in order to fulfill your wish to submit proposals, enter contests, receive newsletters, invitations to meetings, and other relevant REV Ocean information. You are entitled to be informed when we register this information in our database, which complies with EU rules for processing personal data.

How do we collect personal data?

The information we have stored is either publicly available on a website or a directory, on a business card that you have shared with a REV Ocean staff member, submitted through one of our web forms, or sent to REV Ocean in an e-mail.

What type of personal data is stored?

The personal data we store is your name, your e-mail address, your professional affiliation, professional phone number, and professional mailing address.

What is our legal basis for collecting personal data?

By being part of our distribution list, you have given your consent for REV Ocean to process and store your contact information.

You can at any time request a copy of your own personal data which we have on file and correct any of the details. It is also possible to withdraw your consent at any time and request that your personal data be deleted. If you choose to withdraw your consent, it will only apply to future processing.

If you are no longer interested in receiving correspondence from REV Ocean you can at any point unsubscribe from our e-mail distribution lists.

Who do we share your personal data with?

We do not share or pass on any personal information to others outside of REV Ocean.

How long do we store your information?

We only store your information for as long as it is necessary to perform the requested services. We will delete your contact information once it is no longer relevant, or upon explicit request from you.
